I was lucky enough to be asked again through The Twisted Agency to shoot with Seamstress sugar for a series of submissions to magazines. This process takes ages and can be really frustrating as months go by after completing the shots and the magazines being published. Sometimes you do not know even if any WILL be published? The shots cannot be released until the publication has been released as the magazine do not want shots that have already been seen! Needless to say we shot these back in February 2015 and have only JUST been able to release them. There another set of shots from this shoot we are STILL unable to release as we still do not know when they will be published! frustrating!
Still, it was my first time working with Sugar and I had got to know her through the agency and we had prepared ourselves to shoot 3 looks – all very different. We met at a small and draughty (but very welcoming) studio in Armley in Leeds and got to work. We shot a pastel and pink fluffy look as a submission for Delicious Dolls magazine – Published in the U.S I had previously been interviewed by the magazine, however this was my first submission to the publication. (There WILL be more) The shots were published in the June 2015 edition!
We then changed tack completely and shot a series of black and white images with hats provided by Skittycat designs. I have to say these are my favourites as they evoke a feeling of hollywood style and vintage Vogue.
We also shot a look of Seamstress Sugars Burlesque acts with balloons as well as a dress featuring material of Mario bros! Again for a future publication if we can find one!
Sugar was lovely and very fun to work with – Like all of the models I have met through Twisted. Watch this space for more delicious dolls features and Twisted agency models!
Update : The shoot featured in the November issue of Delicious Dolls.
